Grettz G4D vs Huepar S04CG: Two 4×360 Green Lasers Compared

This is a more direct comparison than G4D versus many professional line lasers because the Huepar S04CG also projects four 360° green planes.

So if both have four planes, what should actually decide it?

What they have in common

Both provide two horizontal and two vertical 360° planes, giving room-wide references for floor, wall and ceiling layout. Both also support pulse/detector-style working for situations where direct visibility becomes difficult.

Huepar's strengths

Huepar specifies ±3mm accuracy at 10m, a self-levelling range of ±3.5° and up to 40m range in pulse mode. The S04CG also includes an LCD display, Bluetooth control and a removable 2600mAh battery. If app-style control and an on-tool status display appeal to you, those are genuine differentiators.

G4D's strengths

The Grettz G4D's lower horizontal plane sits 9mm from the floor, making the geometry particularly useful for low-level layout. It offers three brightness modes, selectable planes, USB-C charging and up to 18 hours of runtime. Grettz also backs the range with UK-based service and calibration support.

Don't decide on “four lines”

Because both products already provide 4×360 coverage, the better question is how you want to work: controls, charging, runtime, mounting, floor-line position and after-sales support.

Which would we choose?

Priority Better fit
LCD / Bluetooth controls Huepar S04CG
Low 9mm floor reference Grettz G4D
Removable dedicated battery Huepar S04CG
USB-C charging / up to 18h runtime Grettz G4D
UK Grettz service/calibration route Grettz G4D

The bottom line

Huepar is not a token competitor included so Grettz can beat it. The S04CG offers useful technology and the same four-plane concept. Choose Huepar if its controls and battery setup suit you better; choose G4D if the low floor line, USB-C workflow and Grettz support are more valuable to your work.
